Administration Proceeding

There are many misconceptions that when one dies without a will, the STATE takes his or her property. Actually, the law provides a very high level of protection and attempts to anticipate the way in which most folks would want to have their property distributed.

When someone dies without a will, they have died intestate.  When someone dies intestate there is

  • no written instructions regarding how to dispose of the decedent’s property.

  • No written instructions dictating who is entitled to receive the decedents property.

  • No written instruction clarifying  who is responsible to collect and dispose of the decedent’s property.

Our office will prepare and file all documents necessary in order to have an individual appointed as administrator.
